I'm very disappointed. Put the bed together, placed mattress on top, layed down... then snap!!! The slats broke. I know it was an inexpensive piece of furniture, but I expected a little more.I gave it a 4 because its absolutely not sturdy enough. The only foundation of the bed itself is 4 or 5 pcs of thin long wood and even with a bed box you are still gonna need something to support the bed with it. Also the packing was damaged, im glad the inside wasnt. Other than that, the bed itself is beautiful! And good price!Bed frame was delivered on time as expected with great email communication reminders. However, upon opening the boxes, one of the side frames was totally broke in two. There was paperwork in the box on how to report an issue. We did so immediately with pictures of the carton and frame damage. Due to Christmas holiday, Roundhill's response was delayed several days but upon communication with them, a new side frame was sent out (expedited). Bed was assembled today and my son and daughter in law are very pleased with it. Said it's quite heavy and sturdy and looks great - just what they wanted for Christmas!I waited a week and a half to receive this bed frame. I was so excited planned to have help putting it all together on my day off. When the bed showed up we open the box and it look like it had been returned from someone else because there was food or something on the headboard. The sideboards were missing and we called instantly to let them know. I was hoping maybe the sideboards were in another box on the delivery truck. They said they would get back to me it’s now been five days since it was delivered and I have not heard from them. The headboard and footboard have been leaning on the wall in my room and I was having company over to my new house the night it got delivered and my bed was on the floor. Totally bummed and not impressed with the service I received from the round hill furniture. If I don’t hear from them by next week I’ll be returning it. That’s my experience! I gave it a 2 because I do love the bed but, the rest...Not impressed!I love Amazon and like the Roundhill rustic bed frame we just received, HOWEVER, it arrived without the side bed rails that were clearly supposed to be included. We emailed the company and they are closed until May 1. We looked at their online site and someone else had the same problem - no bedrails!!! And the panels for headboard and footboard had fallen off - Our handyman used liquid nails to put them back in place. Ugh. Fortunately we found a bed frame on Amazon that will hopefully work. If not we’re stuck with a bed we can’t put together. Amazon, as always, made the problem easier to accept by giving us a very nice discount - paid for the handyman and new bed frame we had to order.The laminate covering is peeling off. The screws were poorly installed leaving marks. I would not order this item again.Trash! Absolute waist of money! Only had this bed for 6 months and it’s broken already! Beyond repair!!Love this bed. Should have been sent more cross bars that are wider. I had to add 3 to keep mattress from sagging. Still going to buy a box spring for mattress. The description states that it doesn’t need box spring but I disagree.
